Now being a slight dry skinned girl at times, it is hard to find a moisturiser and primer that work together. So since there has been a lot of hype around the Bobbi Brown Face Base, I thought I would give it a try!!
So as you can see it comes in a slight shiny cardboard box, with the signature Bobbi Brown writing and embossed logo. The claims of the vitamin enriched face base are; that it is for all skin types, it creates the perfect base for flawless makeup application, the shea butter provides daily moisture and softens skin, while the Vitamin C and E help to protect against environmental damage. To use on clean skin morning and night.
Now I can say that yes it does work with dry, oily, sensitive and acne prone skin as that is what I have (I know I am so lucky!) It does not make me greasy throughout the day and if I have any dry patches they are kept moisturised the full day. I normally have makeup on from 6am to 7:30pm on a normal work day.
This is what you find inside! A luxury glass jar that contains 1.7fl. oz or 50ml of product. Now here is where I was surprised! It smells heavenly!!! I know it has Vitamin C so there would be slight citrus smell, but this reminded me of lying at a poolside eating a Solero Ice Cream (yes its that nice!!). The consistency is thick but not overly and not greasy again. I have applied it with my fingers, synthetic brush and beauty blender and I think the best way is massaging it in with the pads of your fingers, as it gets the blood flowing around your face, which helps to drain any impurities.
Here is the size of the jar (notice the safety lid!) and a thick layer over part of my tattoo, and over the candy cane and dolly mixture part, it is soaking in. This I feel is going to be a HG product! My makeup stays looking flawless all day and my skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at the end of the day. I recommended this to a very close friend, who has eczema and she has thoroughly enjoyed it as well! And noticed an improvement on her skin using this at night. So it really is a well rounded product that has many uses!
This is definitely a recommendation and an investment into your skin! You can find it at House of Fraser for £40 and Sephora for $58.
I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have tried it before! Much love xoxo
